Lucifer
Ale is a secondary fermentation brew. This means it's still fermenting
in the bottle! And guess what? It tastes that way! Not too bad, but
definitely very yeasty. Since a few of The Beer Guys were married to
Lucifer we can definitely say it doesn't live up to it's name. Yet, it
ain't too shabby! |

Fine beer! We don't know much about those limey bastards we saved in
world war 2, but they do know how to brew a great beer. Newcastle is one
of our personal favorites! Probably the best thing to come out of
England since John, Paul ,George, and Ringo. A little pricey, but then
again, "All you need is Love!" A.J. calls this "Beer

Some
of us have tested this fine lager in the snowy slopes of Switzerland,
and it's still just as tasty. Although it has a rather Stout smell, it's
as smooth as a pilsner. A little heavier in flavor than a pilsner it has
the same body. All in all, not a bad bang for your buck. |

not an "official" beer, but a "barley wine". The

We
had a guest tester here, Waterman! (Another Mystery beer guy?) The
flavor tastes a little musty, and has a formaldehyde aftertaste. It's
basically a hefeweizen beer. The best thing about this beer is that it
comes in a giant bottle! If your looking for a giant beer, this is the
ticket. It has a lot of carbonation, and your definitely not going to be
looking through this one, it's as thick as milk. Not an unworthy beer,
but you'd probably have to build up a tolerance for it. Great burping

pale ale(from Carmel California) has a strong tart taste. It is

Although billed as an "Extra Light" even that is an

Most
of the guys thought they could cuddle up next to a toasty fire with this
one. It tasted a lot like Lipton's Raspberry tea. Basically we would
refer to it as a "Chick Brew". A nice mellow flavor although rather light tasting. It had a very warm color. Slope bunnies would
enjoy this one. Ol' Wicked Pete always does a fine job! |

Due
to all the Seattle jokes, our punishment was this beer from a Seattle
importer. Then again they did warn us by calling it Buzzards Breath. Be
cautious if there next brew is called vulture breath. Still a lot better
than some of the others in its class. |

Split
decision on this one like a Holyfield fight. Our dark beer lovers
really enjoyed this one. Mix it as a black and tan and it’s a definite
winner. This heavyweight will always take the 12th round decision. Buy a
six pack and go for the knockout. |

Felt
like they tried too hard with this one. Not only was it billed as
"oak aged" it tasted it! Also the alcohol content was noticeable. Here's a hint for all you micro-brew nuts, if you can taste
the alcohol, or the prominent aging process the brewers are trying too
damn hard! Not a poor ale, just a poor attempt. |

Nice
clean aroma, but the taste initially takes you off guard. Mixed review
here…some of us liked it, referred to as a sweet honey ale, other
commented on the formaldehyde aftertaste. After a few sips it could win
you over, but the hangover could kill you. Hard to make a decisive call
on this one: better safe than sorry, pick up a six pack of this with one
of your favorites. |

A
sweet ale with a smooth pour and excellent taste. Well received and well
liked. A few drawbacks were noted…one mentioned a copper after taste.
Kind of like sucking on a penny. But not in a bad way. Of course the
copper aftertaste usually implies the use of formaldehyde in the brewing
process. Not that this is a bad thing, but it can lead to a nasty
hangover! Just a word of warning. Overall a fine beer, just be careful
on mass consumption! |

From
the hot dry parched land of the Lebanese! Surprisingly refreshing brew.
An extremely light brew with a sweet taste. A highly carbonated brew but
very pleasant. A pretty fine brew if you're looking for something light.

This
one was scary to look at, but…what a surprise! The name
"bitter" on the label shook a few of us, but we think that may
be misleading. This is a fine brew! Smooth taste, nice pour, clean &
crisp. A warm color and a crisp body. Although a few didn't appreciate
it the majority found it very appealing. A note for the micro brewers,
this might be a good one to try imitating! |

this is your Canadian Budweiser. A little more tang than Budweiser but

otherwise go with what you know. |

The
name on this one is misleading…it is definitely not a
"perfect" lager! Not that this is a bad lager by any means.
Quite a fine brew, although it seemed a lot more like a hefeweizen than
a lager. Extremely cloudy. A nice clean taste with hardly any
aftertaste. Very nice. A.J felt a slice of lemon would have made it
great…Lemon? Yuppy bullshit! Good beer if you get a good price. |

Basically
New Orleans version of Budweiser. Although most though that it would be
a great drink on a hot day, some (Finn) thought it was "piss
water". There is virtually no flavor. Cool, crisp, light. On a hot
day it would be okay. Mix in some Cajun food and you might have
something. If you're looking for bite, steer clear. |

Remarkably
similar to Rowdy's Perfect Lager. Old Sam Adams brews some fine beer and
this is one of 'em. A pleasant brew with a crisp flavor and a sweet
aftertaste. One of the greatest things about Sam Adams is you can pick
him up on sale throughout the year. If you see a deal on this one pick
it up, well worth the buck for the bang! |

Split
decision here: Literally! Two thought it was great, two thought the
aftertaste effected the total outcome. Guest tester Grams felt it was a
beer he could drink every night. A.J thought it full bodied and
excellent. Menor & Finn both thought it would have been great but
it's heavy aftertaste drained the brew from it's full potential. Not a
bad beer, but play it cautiously, you'll either love it or hate it. |

We
saved this for number 100! This is a specially brewed brew by Sam Adams.
We're not sure what this is, but it ain't no beer! Maybe a marinade for
a steak, but as a drink…DEAR GOD! Maybe someone with a unique pallet would appreciate this one…someone like Hannibal Lector maybe. Probably
excellent with Faver beans, FFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffffffff! |
